The Spanish Aplicaciones Biologicas a la Nutricion S.L., ABN, and the German Leiber GmbH are joining\nforces on the European Market for food and feed products derived from brewers\u00b4 yeast. While ABN,\nfounded in 2000, employs some 50 specialists, Leiber has built up a team of some 250 staff since its\nfounding in 1954. Both family-owned companies specialize in products and ingredients for the food and\nanimal nutrition industries. With a production capacity of 4,500 MT \/ year, ABN produces beer yeast at its factory in Villanueva del Pardillo (Madrid). Food Grade Beer Yeast is obtained through fresh<\/b> yeast collected daily from different beer production plants. ABN Brewer's Yeast undergoes a pasteurization<\/b>process followed by a concentrate<\/b>by evaporation.

With this production process carried out exclusively in ABN's own facilities, the final product maintains all its nutritional properties<\/b>.

Drying of the liquid yeast, once it has been pasteurized and concentrated, is carried out in one of ABN's plants in Villanueva del Pardillo, which is a modern spray-drying plant at a controlled temperature.
